“Football was my first big dream and I tried every way to make it come true but we all know how the competition is here in Brazil. But when the international modeling career started, this dream came back with more possibilities for success because outside Brazil it is relatively easier. At that point, I had already decided that I wanted to be someone in the fashion world; football is in the background with total priority in my modeling career.”
YOU HAVE DONE SO MANY ADVERTISING CAMPAIGNS, FASHION SHOWS, TELL US THE EXPERIENCE THAT STRUCK YOU THE MOST EVER?
“Every job is special in some way for me, but the fashion week in Mexico was unforgettable. The underwear campaign for Diesel in Italy was something very remarkable because it was my first time in Europe, and a TV commercial for Smirnoff in Brazil was something surreal where I was one of the protagonists.”
YOU LOVE TO TRAVEL… WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO KEEP AT THE END OF A TRIP? WHICH IS YOUR FAVORITE DESTINATION?
“Yes, I really love to travel. I am not a materialistic person. I like taking good pictures everywhere I go and making new friends. So, I don’t have a favorite destination, but I really love romantic and historic places with good food, so Italy is in my heart for sure.”
FOOTBALLER… HOW DO YOU LIVE THIS EXPERIENCE? WHAT TEAM DO YOU CURRENTLY PLAY ON?
This experience was more intense when I was younger, but the opportunity to live outside Brazil made me meet people who liked my style of play and ended up signing some contracts abroad, with amateur teams in South America and Asia. Due to the pandemic, I’m currently in Brazil waiting for new opportunities. The last team I played for was last year called “Avengers,” an amateur team in Indonesia with a lot of potential.
WHY IS PAULO DAMAZIO OUT OF THE SPOTLIGHT? HOBBY?
I am a homely person who loves to cook and watch a good movie. I love to read, make new friends, do workouts, play football, and play video games. I am a person who prefers listening to talking and strives to evolve every day, without pressure, just through hard work and living each day to be happy.

My big dream has always been to get married and have a big family with pets—these old-school things, haha. I have a big and old love story; she lives in Italy. I always follow my heart, and I don’t like distance.
FUTURE PROJECTS?
I am a person with many plans, but we are living in a very delicate moment where the whole world is upside down; in other words, it is very difficult to make plans until this pandemic is over. However, there are proposals for jobs in Europe and the United States. I really want to invest in my modeling career and also study and prepare myself in the near future to try something as an actor, always leaving the doors open for something in the middle of the sport too. But the only thing right now is to live each day, be happy every day, and be grateful for everything I have.
