The latest couture collection by designer and producer Andres Aquino was presented at the 42nd season of Couture Fashion Week New York. Entitled “Tales from Sea” the designs capture the sublime beauty of the planet’s underwater ecosystems, highlighting the vibrant corals and diverse marine life that symbolize nature’s richness and resilience. Mr. Aquino’s work serves as a poignant reminder of our responsibility to protect these invaluable habitats, emphasizing the importance of conservation to ensure they remain an enduring treasure for future generations.

Andres Aquino is a New York-based entrepreneur, award-winning fashion designer, writer, event producer, and global business consultant. A fixture of the New York fashion scene, Mr. Aquino is the founder and producer of Couture Fashion Week New York, one of New York Fashion Week’s most prestigious events, for more than 40 consecutive seasons. He is also the founder and director of the annual Global Short Film Awards. Launched in 2015, the annual competition attracts exceptional films from dozens of countries, culminating with a red carpet awards event in Cannes, France coinciding with the Cannes Film Festival.

Andres Aquino’s unique shows are widely known for their theatrical flair combining musical performances with his one-of-kind creations. He often redefines couture through the use of feathers, fabric combinations, precious stones and beading, pleats, lace and fine embroidery, accented with elaborate capes, creating looks that are both elegant and glamorous. Mr. Aquino meticulously oversees all aspects of his creations and productions, from show choreography to music to hair and makeup inspirations.

Mr. Aquino works with many beautiful international models, many of whom have followed him for a good number of years and travel from different countries just to walk his shows. The Aquino show experience is known for its high energy and fun, shared by the whole team of models, stylists, performers and volunteers.
