BREATHTAKING MODEL, ACTRESS, AND WRITER JENNY WATWOOD IS PROVING THAT BEING SMART, FEARLESS, NATURAL, AND DOWN-TO-EARTH IS SEXY AS HELL. WHETHER IT’S POSING ON THE MARCH/ APRIL 2018 “FUTURE” (UN-RETOUCHED) COVER OF PLAYBOY OR STARRING IN LATIN GRAMMY AWARD-NOMINATED AND #1 BILLBOARD CHART TOPPING MEGA RECORDING ARTIST MALUMA’S NEW MUSIC VIDEO “EL PRESTAMO” (OUT THIS FRIDAY, MARCH 9TH), WATWOOD IS SHREDDING STEREOTYPES AND CELEBRATING THE EMPOWERMENT THAT IS MODERN FEMINISM.
Growing up the youngest of 7 children in a conservative household, Watwood’s decision to shoot for PLAYBOY was not one she took lightly. But once she set her mind to it, as with most things she does, the decision quickly became a reality – she met with the magazine’s creative director and was booked for the cover that day. Her March/April 2018 cover (on newsstands now) is celebrated as the “FUTURE ISSUE” – symbolic in many ways.
The magazine, now run by its iconic founder’s 26-year old son Cooper Hefner, who has managed to increase the brand’s revenue by 39% since taking over as Chief Creative Officer, has been re branded and energized by the younger Hef ’s insight in progressive content geared toward millennials and empowering women. Jenny’s cover, for example, features an entirely un-retouched shoot – emphasizing natural beauty in a time when heavily photo shopped photos have become the norm for both magazines and social media influencers alike. Jenny’s decision to shoot the cover was one of strength and decisiveness – she is not ashamed of her body and wants to show other women that it is ok to embrace and celebrate your natural self, be confident in your own skin and not listen to negativity that may reduce your self-worth.
By shooting nude, she reclaimed her body as her own – and not someone else’s to criticize or make derogatory comments about. Jenny also stars as Latin superstar Maluma’s love interest and literal partner-in-crime in the music video for his new single “El Prestamo” which drops tomorrow, March 9th. Jenny and Maluma star as lovers turned bank robbers in the ‘Bonnie & Clyde’ themed video shot in Miami. The action-packed video features car chases and shoot outs with Jenny performing all her own stunts. Maluma – whose music videos for “Felices Los 4” and “El Perdedor” each have over 1 BILLION views on YouTube – is one of the most influential and popular reggaetón singers in Latin America, amassing over 31 MILLION followers on Instagram alone.

Not having the financial means to do much travel in her youth, Jenny dreamed of seeing the world and when the opportunity came, she leapt at the chance. At the age of 19, she shot with a photographer who then submitted the photos to a modeling agency which signed her the next day. Before she knew it, she was living in Milan and booking international campaigns, appearing in Vogue, GQ, and Vanity Fair. Jenny spent the next five years working and living between Milan and the US, establishing an impressive modeling career. While living in Milan, she was cast in the 2016 reboot of the Italian-cult favorite TV series “Ciao Darwin” which boosted her into the spotlight in Italy. Growing up in an orphanage in Arizona, Jenny helped her singer mother (who was employed at the children’s center) guide and raise children separated from their parents. She is still friends with many of the children that she grew up with – in many instances being one of their only long-term stable relationships. For Jenny, growing up in an environment with those less fortunate gave her a unique perspective on the world and instilled in her at an early age the desire to give back. For Jenny, philanthropy was just something you did. She works closely now with THE JACK BREWER FOUNDATION, a non-profit organization that empowers women and children living in impoverished and underdeveloped communities by enabling food security, promoting access to education and cultural exchanges, assisting in medical aid and disaster relief, and building peace. Through her work with the foundation, Jenny has traveled to Haiti where she provided hands on and on the ground action – meeting with local villagers to address their concerns and providing communities with lap tops and internet access to build education and knowledge for their youth. Jenny is planning a second trip this May and is actively raising funds to build an infrastructure to buy trucks and hire drivers for waste management planning, something that the communities she visited were completely lacking. Jenny also knows the importance of financial assistance as well and donates 10% of all she makes to charity. Jenny’s true passion is as a writer where she has teamed up with Cuban actress Rachell Vallori and is developing a female-focused TV series based on the lives of women living in Los Angeles. She has also partnered with men’s luxury leather designer KILLSPENCER for an upcoming women’s collection collaboration. A tomboy at heart, Jenny loves to be outdoors and riding motorcycles. She is a huge UFC fan (hello Conor McGregor) and an avid boxer. Jenny currently resides in Los Angeles and can be followed on Instagram at @Jenny_Watwood.
